I realized that since I started writing this blog almost five months ago, I have not singled out the #1 resource that everyone should be aware of when it comes to survival skills, The Red Cross. I know I have mentioned the organization in previous posts, but I feel like this magnificent organization deserves a special shout out. Need disaster relief, want to take a first aid class or donate blood? Red Cross takes a hand on approach to solving the problems of the world. Mar. 11, 2012, today marks the one year anniversary of the tsunami that crashed into the Northern Calif. coast following the massive earthquake in Japan. A man taking photographs from the shore was swept out to sea and drown. While this is a rare occurrence it is a good idea to know what to do when it happens.
